Jessica will keynote the Sweetwater Valley Toastmasters Open House

I HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS!! I am honored to let everyone know that I have been invited to The Toastmaster’s Open house! I would like everyone to come out and support me and United Cerebral Palsy. I will be giving a 6 minute speech called an Icebreaker. I will speak about my life and many other subjects that I’m choosing to keep close to the vest, so you’ll have to come out to hear it. My teacher from High School Mr. Rick Lakin is the President of and is hosting this Toastmaster’s Event. After I speak I will turn it over to Author and Verbivore Richard Lederer. Mr. Lederer has written many books, has a column in the Union Tribune on Saturday’s called “Lederer on Language”. Mr. Lederer is also very well known on the Public Speaking and Radio circuit. In 2002 he won the Toastmaster’s Golden Gavel. After he speaks I would encourage you to go buy his book because Mr. Lederer is nice enough to donate the profits of his book sales to United Cerebral Palsy! A fun fact about Mr. Lederer is he’s the father of very famous poker player Annie Duke. So please join me on May, 11th from 6-8 at Sunnyside Library in Bonita. The dress code is nice, Dinner is also included, Oh did I mention it’s FREE! So please come out and have some fun while learning about Toastmasters & Supporting United Cerebral Palsy. I hope to see a lot of you there! Thank you to our Sponsor Tweet Me World. More Details Below!

I also had the pleasure of Tossing the coin at the Enforcers Game. We played the Charlotte Cobra’s. At halftime I had the honor of giving an in prompt to speech! I think it went over well considering everyone was applauding. We played a good game but the Cobras came out victorious. Even though we lost, I know this has made us stronger and we will come out with a Win the next the we play because the guys are out for blood!

I’ve been working with Little Angels to find the perfect service dog for me. This process is long and hard but also fun and rewarding! I know Ms. Katie and the whole little angels team will help find the perfect dog for me! Right now I’m lucky enough to work with the directors own personal dog Guen.

I would be crazy if I didn’t sent out my love and prayers to the people in Boston, I am thankful that everyone I know personally from Team In Training are safe and not hurt and they are back in San Diego! Also my love and prayers go out to the people in West, TX. Stay Strong Everyone!

I hope to see you all on May 11th for my Toastmasters Speech! Don’t forget to buy Mr. Lederer’s book so we can raise money for Cerebral Palsy!

All My Love,

Jessica
